So as to be approved for the FIA GT2, the competition department at Porsche got to work in the Nineties to provide a two-wheel drive car that was roadworthy. The 993 GT was used as the base for the GT2 that would perform exceptionally well on track. With an engine first of 430 then 450 hp and a widened and lightened chassis, the 993 leaves nobody indifferent. Less than 100 were produced, and for Porsche amateurs, it is by far one of the most sought after… Consequently also one of the more expensive!
